Grand Procession Welcome
The entire drive way to the hotel is lined with are taken in royal carriages or on elephant back to the hotel. A band of musicians and horsemen precede the procession amidst a shower of rose petals. Valets drape each lady with a Duppata (shawl) and the gents are dressed up with Safas (Rajasthani Turbans). Guests are greeted with garlands and the Tikka ceremony is performed. Afterwards relax to the music of the Shehnai while you sip a welcome drink and enjoy Rajasthani folk dance.
An Event to Remember
This theme conjures up the spirit of a Mughal Camp set up to celebrate a battle victory. On a lush green lawn of the Taj Khema is a tableland overlooking the famous Taj Mahal, color “Khemas” (decorated tents) are set up. Guests are welcomed by soldiers attired in the costumes of Mughal Dynasty. Relax on the mattresses laid out on the lawns, Mughalai delicacies are served. Local artisans display their skills while musicians & dancers perform.
Village Tour Theme
A village setting is created with bamboo huts, benches & stalls. Villagers mingle with guests & display their traditional skills of doll making, puppet making, pottery, “Pichwal paintings & other crafts. Entertainment includes “Monkey show”, a palmist, snake charmer, “Kachi Ghori” and “Dhamal” (a performance with dummy horse, dancers & singers)
Elephant Polo
In the land of Maharaja and prince, palace and forts, the game of elephant polo was one of the ultimate royal experiences. Players are greeted at the palace’s sprawling lawns by a royal military brass band. As in yesteryears, the arrival of the guests is accompanied by the beating of Nagadas (huge Indian drums) and a tableau of horses and camels along with ladies attired in traditional costumes add to the royal welcome, before the start of the game. Folk artistes regale the audience with music and dance during the change over. A sumptuous meal ends this majestic event.

Nawab Hunting Camp
The celebrations that follow a successful royal hunt are recreated on the beautiful poolside gardens. Burning Mashaals (torches) dot the periphery of the camp on which colorful tents are pitched. Enjoy local music and attendants dressed as foot soldiers. A royal repast, including barbecued food that is cooked on spits in front of the guests completes this unique evening.
Desert Safari
An exciting experience of the desert safari in the sand dunes with a tour of historical forts and palaces either on elephants, camels or horses is arranged. A sequence of entertainment by the belle/ rajasthani folk dancers and singers. Camel rides are arranged for all the guests. Enjoy the bonfire under the canopy of stars, relish the drink and dinner with a comfortable stay in the luxury swiss tents.
Hyderabadi Chowki Theme
This traditional form of dining popularized by Nizam of Hyderabad comprises of dinner served on Chowki, which is a low seating dining arrangement for 4-5 persons, sitting on a cushion. The typical Hyderabadi cuisine is served accompanied by ‘Quawali’ or ‘Ghazal’ musical performance.
Kashmiri Wazwan Evening
Board an exclusive “Doonga” – a long pleasure boat furnished with carpets. You can recline against the cushions and listen to the songs and folk dance while Doonga glides smoothly along the lake. The famous Kashmiri meal called the ‘Wazwan’ is served. This consists of 35 courses. The evening is concluded with a Kashmiri tea called ‘Kahwa’. |
